Which one should I pick among money, intellect, & love ?

The question may be simple but accountable. If you are asked to pick one of these 3 for your entire life, which one will you choose ?

To make the question more simple, You like yourself to be called as intellectual person, or rich person, or kind person.

It is very difficult for a common man to choose, because all these 3 are needed at some part of our life time. Here I'm not including the minority ascetic people in consideration but only a laypeople. 

• Money never comes our way, until we go and get it;
• Love never comes our way, until we go and share it;
• Intellect never comes our way, until we go and find it;

Intellect is nothing but a thought, love is nothing but an emotion but money is just a man made thing newly added for this competition. 

Love : 

Love makes you to do of something which cannot be done by money and intellect; It keeps the bonds of relationships and makes the planet livable for humans, Else it would be mob of machines at homes just like a robot without any emotions. If you think you can reach the fame with money or intellect alone, I will show you how Mother Teresa got her fame with her love. The more you share love, more you lose yourself. Your intellect and money cannot help you when you are old, who needs to be loved. 

But can we live happily only with love ? my answer would be a big No. Practically speaking, nowadays even to share the love, we need money and intellect. Your child doesn't always expects your kisses, sometimes he needs cloths and toys he likes. 

Money can help you to buy a dog, Intellect can help you to choose which dog to buy. Only Love can able make him wag his tail. Love alone can give you the soul satisfaction & peace.

Money: 

There is a famous saying “It is better to cry in a BMW rather than on a cycle”. This statement is indeed true. It is better to be comfortably unhappy than being uncomfortably unhappy.

Money is the only man made thing which can conquer the intellect and love. The more you get it, more it demands your attention. Now situations are changed in such a way that we need money even to live, which wasn't existed when humans were created. We need money to survive, to be comfortable, to indulge and enjoy ourselves. It is required to fulfill the basic needs of humans - water, food & shelter.

Money cannot buy happiness, but surely money can buy a thing you like which makes you happy. If I need to eat something which I like, I need money. There I get the happiness.

Intellect :

Money can say it is important, but it can be lost. Love can say it is important, but it can be broken. Only intellect can be a life long treasaure. You can buy a thing with money, But intellect needs to there to tell which is right to buy. You can make a relationship with love, But you need intellect to know which is not fake. 

One cannot buy a solution to save oneself in utter emergency situations. One has to have the intellect to deal with it. More intellectual people are being remembered in history than rich/kind people.  

There are certain things which cannot be bought by love & money but with only intellect, And they are manners, common sense, morals, class, integrity, etc..

It is quite difficult to come to a conclusion as they are from different category but entwined together. It is individual's responsibility to know how to use these 3 in their life.

• Love is to share, but we need money to share it; 
• Money is to share, but we need love to share it; 
• Intellect is understanding the above, but we need a life to know this;

If I had to chose one, I cannot choose one option alone...

Football is not just a game, It is life.

I have seen people often contemplate their life as if it a race, the faster you go, farther you go. To be frankly honest, it is not the case. Life can never be the game of race where you move yourself in a defined route but I would like to compare it with the game of football. In football, players often have to change the route for the same goal according to the situation. Secret of winning the race is pulling up the socks and keep running in your path, but the reality in the life is other way around. We need to know when to move forward and stop in life. 

While you have a goal in your mind, moving faster is not a best route or even not possible at times. Some routes, like career takes 3 times longer, and some are dead ends. It is not who reaches first, but it is who reaches. Why I compare the life with the game of football ?, simply because everyone doesn't have the same goal and doesn't start at the same place. Do not set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. We are made to reach our goals by facing many opponents, adversities, calamities, hardships, sacrifices, failures, misfortunes etc.

The most important thing in reaching the goal is not 'when' but 'how'. Successful people are the ones who moves forward when they can and look for other opportunities when they cannot move in forward. Also We must be ready to adapt and look for different route when there is an obstacle or an opponent in life. In this competitive world if we are not ready to backtrack, then we are lost in the journey.

Always pay attention to where you are, Do not compare yourself with others. Say to yourself, "I have the time to get everything done that what are my goals in my life". Everything always works out if You don't rush. Goodness of reaching the goals in life is not winning but completing.

What you discuss ?

Great minds discuss idea. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Whether a male or female, both spends a considerable minutes of time in discussions with their friends, colleagues, family members etc, But how healthy & useful are those discussions to their intellectual life. Most of our day to day discussions can be categorized within the topic idea, events and people. If you find yourself falling under the category of events or people, You need not to worry, Redirect your discussion to a level better than what you have now, Because useless discussions are not a way towards your journey success.

When I think about this quote little deeper, It gives me so many abstract questions. It doesn't describe what the Poet's intention was, when she says great mind. Does she mean the great mind as intelligent one or significant about life? But in both the cases intelligent and significant people had ideas about what they want to do.  

Roosevelt was quite clear in her saying, I hope. She doesn't emphasize "Great mind discuss only idea" or "Only great mind discuss idea". It is not claiming any infallible law. I think this quote would have risen in her mind out of her observations, but that is often true isn't ? Also Look objectively at the various spheres of people you came across? The ones that gossip all the times, how many instances it triggered your insight? Candidly? Honestly? The ones I know, don't mostly. 

Also It gives me a feel that, Roosevelt intention in saying "great mind" was to describe the state of intellect thoughts than a person. 

People may ask whether the great minds doesn't discuss the events or people, Or People discussing events and people are having small mind. Yeah, everyone discusses all those at some point of their life, but the saying is clearly referring to the proclivities of said minds and not their only actions. Also the word "Discuss" connotes a deeper conversation than just small casual talk. Intelligent people will spend more of their time thinking about grand ideas than average minds. The average mind finds itself in thinking the worries of the past and the anxieties of the future. 

So I would say, what you discuss is the indicative of the true scale of your opulent eruditeness. How would you fit your quality of discussions among the three mentioned categories above? This made me think, Is that why the genius and brilliant people in the history hated socializing. There is some truth in there, isn't?

Many of us, would have come across this and having bitter experience when meeting a serious guy at first sight, thinking why these kinda people are still alive. It doesn't a matter how big or important you are, It will take days or months to change the opinion one set.

It really doesn't a matter whether you are happy or sad, It will not influence anyone much, but Keeping a smiling face really matters. Keeping a smiling face really costs nothing but your wrinkles. Your wrinkles either show that you're nasty, cranky, and senile, or that you're having a smiling face. People say First impression is the best impression but your attitude of keeping smiling face is the best impression you could ever give on the first impression, that could change many.

It is contagious! Not only a great way for you but for others as well. When people are smiling they are most receptive to almost anything you want to teach them. People who smile are solid magnets for others, a welcome sign, open arms, hope and acceptance. If you could give something away today, try a smile. It opens many hearts, accepts the downtrodden and gives hope to the hopeless. That is the love what society needs now, Can you spare some for others.

Try to have the attitude of keeping smiling face when meeting each other, soon or later that will become your character and people will start liking you more, because hard fact is even the new born child will get more love when it is having smiling face. When I look out at the people and they look out at me with a smile, Then I will get a vague idea that I am loved. That is the day when I have no worries, no problem.

Ever wondered, Why we say "cheeseee" while being clicked ?,  simply because we look better a step ahead to be liked.   Then how great the neighbours would be,  if you have that  smiling  face all over they time. 

Smile - lifts the face and makes you look younger

Smile - The best way to defeat your enemies and makes you successful 

Smile - Releases stress

Smile - changes your mood and makes you attractive.

Dream your Dreams and Dream above your Dreams...

  Dream bigger and pragmatic. There is no wait and obstacle in dreaming high and big. People have always an attitude of dreaming within their limits. Winning 1Cr lottery or 1 lakh salary paid job. Why don't people dream that they won 10,000Cr lottery or got 5lakh job or becoming president of US? Will police catch them next day morning for dreaming of winning a 10,000Cr lottery? 

  Dreams will become the touchstones of our character and Our character will become the measure of our dreams. Ordinary people dream what they can achieve, but only Successful people dream big. Mahatma Gandhi dreamt big about an independent India. At that time, people did not believe in his dream because it seemed impossible. However, he was determined and never gave up. Because he dreamed big, he managed to reach his goal.

  Absolutely everyone in our childhoods would have dreamt of becoming scientists or pilots or detectives or astronauts. But how many are chasing the dreams to make it success? In our childhoods, We were encouraged to dream high on what we would want to become. As the time rolls up and getting matured, the same people will tell us to suck up the dreams and look after our career and face reality. Eventually the high schools and colleges will make you to focus on the profession courses depending on the scope. 

  We lock up our childhood dreams, which have now evolved into something more concrete, in a silent corner of our heads and we swallow the pass-code key. We throw away our creative hats and bow our heads, now to crack the board exams, now to pass the entrance exams, now to make it through college, now to land in a good MBA school, now to fight for the best ‘package’, now to settle down aka get married and have kids. However at some point of our time in life, we may look forward to the key which swallowed unlock the dreams.

The question was once asked of a highly successful businessman: "How have you done so much in your lifetime?"

  He replied, "I have dreamed. I have turned my mind loose to imagine what I wanted to do. Then I have gone to bed and thought about my dreams. In the night I dreamt about my dreams. And when I awoke in the morning, I saw the way to make my dreams real. While other people were saying, 'You can't do that, it isn't possible,' I was well on my way to achieving what I wanted." As Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the U.S., said: "We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers."

  Lets make a resolution to look forward with a great passion to make our own dreams reality. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty and visual aspect of their dreams. Often times we walk away from our dreams afraid we may fail, but at the end of our journey, We aren't going to regret the things we've done but only the things we did not do. Even though the world may laugh at people who dream big, it is not an excuse for staying within one’s comfort zone. To be successful, one needs to take risks.

I just want you to remind again, So many of our ancestors dreams at first seem impractical, then they seem improbable, and then, when they summoned the will, they soon become inevitable. Where there is a will, There will be a way always. 

Height of achievement - The Man who grew his own forest by himself

Would you able to believe if a man can afforest 1000 hectares  land alone? Perhaps You need to believe. Today I had a thought of writing about any individual  and  so many people conceived in my mind, who influenced the society and shaped the world. But nobody impressed me that much, as many experts would have written  much about them. So I am writing here about the person who needs to be known to every mankind. He, the man can do the things which we can not do, Though we are men. The Man who made a forest, No I will say The Indian who made the forest. He is none other than Jadav Payeng. Most of us would not even come across this achiever. 

Jadav Payeng. An altruistic man from Assam. an Indian, popularly known as mulai, who planted a forest alone, which a normal people can never dream of. Some people do things for their talents or for glory or for power but few would do for the sake of others. He is on top in that list as he did everything for flora and fauna and also for us.  He simply left all the magnificence of the whole wide world, and transcend to a state where none of it really matters. 

All the things begun on the day when river Brahmaputra  had severe flood on the year 1979, which washed ashore a huge number of snakes into banks of the river and nearby sandbars. Since it was an open ground without a tree coverage , all the snakes were died by the time he came across. He was just 16 by that time. 

"The snakes died in the heat, without any tree cover. I sat down and wept over their lifeless forms. It was carnage " says Payeng, now 47. When he requested the forest department for help with planting trees, they told him nothing would grow on the sandbar. He decided to prove them wrong. He was part in developing first 200 hectares, and after the completion of project everybody left him and he left everybody, everything, his parents, and his education. Who could do like this, Just a big salute. However, 

Now the same area is rambling with dense forestation of 1350 hectares It gives shelter to rich flora and fauna. People of Assam calls this forest as 'Mulai Forest'. It is giving home to many tress,our national animal, elephants, rhinos, deer, vultures, innumerable varieties of birds and many others .He has consecrated his valuable 30 years in valuing flora and fauna, which in turn values us and our world.  

Now he is living with his wife and his 3 children in the midst of forest. He has cattle and buffalo farms on his farms and sells milks to live hood. He also revealed more than 100 cows and buffaloes were killed by wild animals . Though he faces continuous problems from wild animals for which he dedicated his life, He is not much worried about it. He is adhering to his passion and keen about it . His next step is to commence a similar venture in other parts of Assam .   

FYI, It will take at least 500 trees to cover 10 hectares. We could not even imagine about 1000 hectares then . Jadav Payeng should be honored as well. Our media should should give some space to these kinda of things which can shape the society. It is not easy these days to find an exceptional person like Mulai. Someone who is genuine enough and compassionate enough – to surrender his life for us. I get a immense happiness in planting a sapling in my garden, then how much he would have got over his life.

Though, He receives some recognition and award, It is our duty to honor him by spreading the news and educating our people what he is living for. And a famous British film-maker Tom Robert went there two years back to shoot one of his films.

It is not necessary for you to be in administrative job or in politics to convey the message, It is just a way of telling. He took his own way. That's why I would proudly call him as a 'Forest maker' than usual King maker. I just simply salute this man and his accomplishments. Nowadays our media is very busy in telling the negatives, It just fails to shows the talents and achievements of many, who needs appraisals and standing ovation. 

He is saying us the message by his life and it is a high time for us to take the message. 

"Nature is having a food chain, which is being followed for millions of years and why can not we stick to it and why there is a big change in that in last 100 years ?". I am not asking you to do like him, but at least two saplings in your home which could give shelter to many and as well as your offspring. By consuming all the natural resources, we are spoiling this beautiful planet for our children. For how long we will keep on talking Green house effect and deforestation ? Let us do something...Think and act wisely. 

We are Leaves.

We are leaves. 

                Have you even gone on a walk on a good day and picked up a fresh green leaf. Well I have done so! Honestly if you just walk outside a pick up a leaf that would work just the same. Whenever I pick a fresh leaf on the ground, I usually tear it apart and sprinkle it on the air. Even today when i was sitting on the bench in my garden one fresh leaf fallen on my thighs , as usual i was about to tear it apart and sparge it up, but before doing that i was stopped by something not by my instinct. Then I observed the leaf intimately and my mind started to wander and divagated.

               

And What I observed was,

* Leaf is having two sides, one is glossy with gleam and other is abrasive 

             Even we accept or not, we have to agree this fact. We are not same to our self and to others. She/he is the real one, when he/she is alone. We are also having two phase and face one for public and other for private. Of course both the faces cannot be one.

* Only One side is visible to others, until you concentrate on it.

             Until and unless you go and take leaf and turn it, you will not see the other side. We are also the same, only few people who care us, will able to see other side of us. Rest will see only the glossy side what we show, like what we see on the leaves generally, that may not be real and duller than the publicized one. Wondering whether we learnt to hide our distress like how leaves do.

* Perforation caused by insects.

             Even we have the dents caused by others, which may be everlasting. Everyone's heart would have the scratch made by some people or by some incidents.

* will get help only when infected.

                 We could able to see the chew marks on the leaves, then it will be taken care by gardener. Health of the leaf is the health of the tree, We can easily identify the health of the plant by its leaves which will indirectly tells, it needs some care. Similarly  Our face is the index of our health which will clearly depict if we are hurt

*Leaves not Leaf- Unity of leaves in a tree will give you shadow to many. Similarly If are united we can help our society which will in turn help you.

                I don’t want to prolong this abstract, Nature is teaching us many things, It’s our responsibility to take it out.

Every leaf will have to fall one day.

                Each Leaf in a tree are from one tree, like how we are from one fraternity. A Leaf cannot say it is the best in tree and even should learn not to think as if we are the best in the human community. There is nothing being so called as best in being in a same community  and at the end Each and every leaf will have to fallen down and get decay Which will make us to remind we are also going to the same ground and get decayed one day or another. 

            Leaves are useful even when they are even buried, which is asking  us the question, Are we useful to other in our lifetime at least. Understand the purpose of our life given to us and serve the mankind.

What is Success ? How can I get Success ? How to get Succeeded in Life ? 

                These are the all time high questions which would be striking across our mind at times. If you find the generic answers for these questions, You  are living your life.

              You cannot put a pause to your life respective of your will and wish. Life has to move on for everybody, Howsoever and whomsoever it is. In the process of finding the Success, We are failing to taste the essence of success we attained and at the end we are even forgetting to ask the question to our self whether we attained the Success or not in journey of finding the Success.

Especially for people in India, Success is a fantasy. We will be having Success only in dreams and imaginations. Success in reality for Indians is something baffles understanding and it is just an illusion, Because we are forced to drive our life on the road which was laid by the society. But anyway Instead of changing the path, It is better to find happiness in the vector where we are now.

In order to find the Success, We need to know what is Success at the outset. Without that there will not any meaning in seeking for success, Okay

What is Success ?

         Just ask this Question to yourself , and know what your mind gets first. And that is where you are . I asked this question to many and most of their responses are like Success is getting the more salary, getting what you desire, eating what you like, getting management or administrative roles, getting respect, position where able to buy what you like, getting familiar to society, getting fame, etc..

         But my doubt is, Are they really happy about the success once attained. Say for example getting 3lakhs per month is position of feeling success  Will he be happy after that or will he stop working to get more salary beyond that . He may feel succeeded the life but he will not be happy. They define it by money. The more you have the more successful you are. Granted, the world today is more competitive and expensive than it was. So the need for money is of importance, but is money really the true  measure of success? He might have achieved the target, he might be a achiever not a successful man in life because Success is a journey and not a destination.

       The definition of success varies between people. Achieving personal success does not have to be difficult. Success is purely an abstract word but it is not an enigma  OK let me try to give you a some hints to catch the meaning of Success.

      Success is not a binary, it’s a range. Success is not an amount of money in a bank safe nor all the possessions you might have. Success is not about how many friends or relatives you have.Success is not about impressing other people. Success is not having never failed at anything.

       But first you need to know what success means to you. Not some general definition of success. You need to see what you and your life would look like when you are successful. Developing a strong vision of what you will look like when you are truly successful will help you step into that person in your imagination's shoes. You will start living life as a success.

      For me, Success is simple .It’s being able to wake up each morning, and have the freedom to spend that day in a way that’ll matter to you and make you happy without disturbing others. To be even more clear, If you are able to do the things which gives you happiness without hurting anyone or anything  then you are one amongst the successful men in this planet.

     If we start finding the Success in the materialistic costly world, our find will never come to an end, It will be a delusion. Success and Happiness should be compatible in life. Success without happiness is really not a success in reality. Today I was a more successful person than I was yesterday.  This is because I did less of the things that aren't important to me and more of the things that are. If you feel less successful than you should be after reading this that’s okay.  It’s not a failure, it’s an opportunity for more success, that is if you want it to be.  So do not lose the one life in the search of reaching your own defined success. Try to be happy than being successful.
